Invitation to the 3rd Paf Masters 2019

Paf Masters is an international women’s curling event on the World Curling Tour.
The Event is scheduled to October 3 – October 6, 2019 in Aland Hotels Curling Arena,  Eckerö, Finland.

10 teams will be playing Round Robin-groups of 5 teams.

The winner from each group proceeds directly to the semi-final round. 
The second and third placed team in each group will proceed to the playoff round.
The practice session will be on Thursday 3 of October from 9.00 to 11.30.
The first game will start on Thursday 3 of October at noon local time (GMT+2).
The championship final will be played on Sunday 6 of October at 14.30 local time (GMT+2).

Total purse is: 16 500 Euro

Accommodation:
We recommend you to book accommodation at our players hotel Pommern. 
Shuttle will be available between the hotels and the rink.

110€/night for doubleroom
100€/night for singelroom
inkl breakfast, transfer from/to the ferry terminal/airport as well as to and from the curling center daily.

Take the flight to Stockholm/Arlanda on Wednesday and then the ferry.
At 5 pm the bus will leave from Cityterminalen in Stockholm to the ferry in Kapellskär. The bus take 1 hour. 
The ferry takes 2,5 hour and arrive at 22.30 pm in Mariehamn.

World Curling Tour

The Paf Masters event is part of the Women’s World Curling Tour. The World Curling Tour was created in 1992 and the WCT introduced a series of Grand Slam events for men in 2001, which were followed by Grand Slam events for women in 2006. Most WCT events are held in the autumn or early winter to avoid competing with the Brier Playdowns.

The winner of the 2017 Paf Masters title was Team EunJung Kim from South Korea. The team went on to win the silver medal in the Olympic final against the Swedish team led by Anna Hasselborg.

                   

The Winner of the 2018 Paf Masters title was Team Wranå from Sweden. They played the final against team Yoshimura from Japan
